An American rock band formed in Massachusetts in 1988 with their first track of “Quaker Oats” (Yahoo!), Rich and Ted played locally and shared over the radio with the nationally syndicated show Dr. Demento. They made their way to Hollywood in a Pontiac Phoenix for fame, fortune and open mic nights.
 
They were part of the pilot episode of Cafe Dilatant for VH1 and once played for only the bartender at the 8121 club. The bartender asked if they were done after each song, which they responded as if he asked for an encore.
 
Internationally known and performed coast to coast across the US, Rich and Ted are still fondly remembered by their goofy songs, never a sold out shows and Weird Al Yankovic stealing their thunder
